Recent work by Dr Laby with one of the best ...
In Winter/Spring 2021, Dr. Laby worked with Trent Alexander Arnold on a project, sponsored by RedBull, to test and improve this Premier League player's visual ability on the pitch - following the Sports Vision Pyramid concept ... Not only did his play for Liverpool FC improve, but he was selected for the England National Team as well!
“MY PASSION IS MOTIVATING PEOPLE TO GET RESULTS”
~ Dr Daniel M. Laby
The field of Sports and Performance Vision has grown at a logarithmic pace over the past several decades. Both the quality and the quantity of scientific research has allowed what used to be available only in scientific laboratories to now be available for everyone.
In order to understand Sports and Performance Vision, consider a pyramid, as in the sports vision pyramid above. Everyone’s goal is to achieve optimal performance at the top of the pyramid. To get there, though, one must build a stable and proportional pyramid from the bottom up. Starting with visual abilities that are related to each of our eyes, then building upon that for optimal use of the two eyes together, followed by the optimization of how the brain analyzes and uses the visual information and then how motor actions are initiated as a result of vision we have the best chance of reaching our goal of maximal ability, whether in sports or in life as a whole.
